Breakfast, the meal to frame the day…… served looking out on the garden and the fells beyond and hopefully, entertained by the birdlife going about their own breakfast.
There will be a selection of cereals, muesli, granola and juices or home-made fruit smoothies. A variety of seeds, fruits and nuts are also available. You may wish to have porridge, served with fresh fruit and cream or perhaps maple syrup or treacle, however you’d like it….. Dip into the fruit compote or fresh fruit salad to complete your beginnings…
Examples of what may follow…
Choose a traditional hot vegetarian or vegan breakfast to suit you. A combination of any of the following should set you up for your day’s outing:
Sausage or pattie; eggs (however you’d like them), scrambled tofu, tofu rashers, baked beans, mushrooms sautéed with balsamic vinegar and tarragon, roasted vine cherry tomatoes, haggis, fried bread in hazelnut oil, Lancashire potato cakes.
Eggs Florentine – poached eggs served on wilted spinach, topped with hollandaise sauce and served with roasted vine tomatoes and sautéed mushrooms.
Buckwheat pancakes with apple and cinnamon.
Homemade or locally produced bread, toasted and served with local marmalade, jams and other spreads will complete your breakfast.
Please advise if you have specific dietary requirements over and beyond vegetarian or vegan and I will do my best to meet them.
